Students at Westside Catholic in Evansville made pet rocks during their Halloween party last week. The students enjoyed dressing up in their halloween costumes and learned a little bit about rocks in the process!
Two third grade classes from Nancy Hanks Elementary School in Spencer County, Indiana, visited Cape Sandy Quarry last week in conjunction with two months of studying rocks and minerals in their classrooms. The students were given a tour of Cape Sandy Quarry, a chance to sit in the cab of one of the quarry dump trucks and made pet rocks.
Mulzer Crushed Stone, Inc. Charlestown Quarry will be having their annual open house on Saturday, October 29 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (EST). The quarry is located at 15602 Charlestown/Bethlehem Road in Charlestown, Indiana.
