The Native Trails District of the Buffalo Trace Council, Boy Scouts of America recently requested some help from Mulzer Crushed Stone, Inc. in acquiring enough sand and pea gravel for a panning for gold station at the group’s 2012 Day Camp held in Evansville, Ind. More than 360 scouts and 150 leaders attended camp during the week, participating in the panning for gold activity, one of many held during their Pioneer Days themed event. The scouts got the opportunity to experience how much fun it can be to try your hand at panning for gold.
Mulzer Crushed Stone, Inc. will be at the Crawford Co. 4-H Fair this week on Monday, July 9, Tuesday, July 10, Wednesday, July 11 and Thursday, July 12. We’ll be giving away up to 7 ton of sand, stone or gravel FOB each night we’re there. Stop by our table in the Exhibit Hall and sign up to win the stone and learn about Mulzer Crushed Stone, Inc.’s history in Southern Indiana and Crawford County.
The first quarter of 2012 has kept our R.O.C.K. (Reaching Out to Community Kids) program very busy with educational activities and presentations to 328 kids, ages 3-12 and almost 40 adults. The following schools participated in R.O.C.K. from February 1st to March 30th.
